Twitter became X in July 2023, but the money question is still asked the old way. The program is the same one, and so is the maths.

You meet the three published requirements for Creator Revenue Sharing.

A range, not a promise. X publishes no rate card, so these bands come from publicly reported creator payouts. How this is calculated.

There is one Twitter payout program, and this is it

Twitter was renamed X in July 2023. The payout scheme people mean when they ask what Twitter pays is X Creator Revenue Sharing, and as of September 2026 it is the only broad-based way the platform pays you for reach. The older arrangements that circulated under the Twitter name - the Twitter creator fund, Super Follows, the original ad-share pilot - are either folded into this program or discontinued.

That matters for the number you get here, because the program was rebuilt in October 2024. Before that date, payouts were driven by advertising shown in the replies under your posts. Since then they are driven by engagement from X Premium subscribers. A post that a million people scroll past earns very little; a post that paying subscribers reply to earns disproportionately more.

So a Twitter money calculator that multiplies your views by a flat rate is describing a program that stopped existing in 2024. The rate that applies to you sits somewhere between $0.60 and $32 per million impressions, and where you land is decided mostly by who your audience is rather than how big it is.

What this calculator does with your numbers

If you enter a follower count, the model first converts it into monthly impressions. An account at or below 10K followers is modelled at roughly 10 impressions per follower per post at average engagement, because the For You feed serves most impressions to people who do not follow you. Above that threshold the ratio is damped, since large accounts reliably reach a smaller multiple of their own following.

Those impressions are then priced against a rate band chosen by audience geography: $6 to $20 per million for a mostly US and Canadian audience, $3.50 to $14 for the UK, EU and Australia, $1.50 to $9 for a mixed worldwide audience, and $0.60 to $4 where the audience is mostly in South Asia, LATAM, South East Asia or Africa.

Finally the niche adjusts the band. A Premium-dense niche - crypto, finance, tech, political commentary - multiplies the rate by 1.6x, because those audiences contain far more paying subscribers. A general-interest audience multiplies it by 0.75x. The output is a range, never a single figure, because X publishes no rate card and anyone quoting one exact number is guessing with extra confidence.

Getting a figure that is worth acting on

Use your real impressions if you can. Open X Analytics, read the impressions total for the last 28 days, and switch this calculator to the impressions tab. Converting from followers is a fallback with genuinely wide error bars - two accounts with identical follower counts routinely differ by a factor of ten in reach.

Be honest about geography. It is the largest lever in the model, and creators consistently overestimate how American their audience is. X Analytics will show you the actual split, and using the flattering answer here produces a flattering number that your first payout will contradict.

And check the eligibility gate before you plan around any of this. You need 500 followers, 5M organic impressions across the previous 90 days, and an active paid Premium subscription. The impressions threshold, not the follower count, is what most accounts fail.

Frequently asked questions

Does Twitter still pay creators in 2026?
Yes, through X Creator Revenue Sharing. The platform was renamed X in July 2023 but the payout program continued, and was restructured in October 2024 to pay on engagement from Premium subscribers rather than on ads shown in replies.
How much does Twitter pay for 1 million views?
Roughly $0.60 to $32 per million impressions as of September 2026, with most active accounts landing between $6 and $12 if their audience is largely American. The spread is driven by audience geography and how many of your viewers pay for Premium.
Is a Twitter money calculator the same as an X payout calculator?
Yes. They describe the same program under the platform's old and current names, so the same impressions, rate bands and eligibility rules apply to both.
Do I need Twitter Blue to get paid?
Twitter Blue is now X Premium, and yes - an active paid subscription is a hard requirement for Creator Revenue Sharing. Without it you accumulate no payable balance regardless of your reach.
